In order to strengthen the Traffic Wardens Organisation of Coimbatore city applications are invited from social conscious people of the city. If you are between 25 and 45 years of age and wish to save lives, join the Traffic wardens Organisation. As a Traffic Warden one can help regulate, guide and educate citizens of Coimbatore on responsible driving on the city roads. Many lives can be saved by such an effort.
In order to be eligible for appointment as a traffic warden a person shall:
Be a citizen of India, ordinarily reside or carry on business, trade or profession in the city of Coimbatore, not be below 25 years of age and not above 45 years of age, not take active part in politics, have fair knowledge of English, Tamil and preferably one other language, be physically fit, be willing and able to render voluntary and non-remunerative service to the government for a minimum of 4 hours in a week, be in a position to purchase at his/her own cost the uniform, equipment and badges, not have been convicted of any offence by any court, not to be an officer of any regular or auxiliary military unit or essential service or held any honorary rank.
